Gay Head Light House
Watercolor on paper, 20" x 14", 1989

The famous Gay Head lighthouse provided a good center for this composition, but I was mostly interested in contrasting the trees in the foreground with the sky, lighthouse, and field, and how to make the large dark foreground interesting and integrated with the background as well.
