Man Gazing Down at the Seine
Oil on linen, 18" x 24", 2010

A man gazes down at the Seine.  We don't really see the water at all;  this is similar to the composition of Rising, where a principle subject is implied.  I intentionally kept the colors very monochromatic with some highlights of blue, red, green, and brown as sometimes Paris seems like that.
