Tashmoo Beach
Oil on Linen, 12" x 9", 1991

This is one of the smaller oils. I was experimenting again with a bright red underpainting for the sky. Compositionally, I was interested here in linking the foreground boulders to the background beach, and the diagonal across the painting. The boulders were the highlight of the painting for me, as the contrasting light and shade were intense.
